Other Activities in Education
Student projects
There are several projects for students to work on as a semester/diploma/master thesis dealing with cutting edge research. Please ask Prof. Dr. Müller (bert.mueller@unibas.ch) for details.
Master program in Biomedical Engineering
Biomedical engineering belongs to the sustained growing fields in research and technology. The students and, to an increasing degree, the young graduated engineers permit the active Swiss companies to address novel fields of applications in emerging markets. The Swiss medical technology is well-known and established because of the inherently high standards in health care. The Swiss research teams as well as the industrial companies in Switzerland are global players in biomedical engineering. Finally the Swiss hospitals, including the University Hospital Basel, are renowned for the high-quality patient care based on their ongoing innovative equipments.
We are planning to establish a master programme in Biomedical Engineering at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel in close cooperation with the one already started at the University of Bern/University of Applied Sciences in Biel.
